- Description
- Location: Cambridge area (on-site)
Employment Type: Full-time
A fast-growing technology business supplying innovative products to global B2B customers is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to lead and scale its marketing function. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for both strategic direction and day-to-day execution across all marketing channels.
You will manage a team of six marketers who primarily work remotely — meaning your on-site presence is essential. You’ll need to be immersed in the environment, close to the engineers and other internal teams, aware of what’s happening in real time, and able to spot opportunities simply by hearing conversations and staying connected to the pace of the business.
Key Responsibilities- Set and execute the company’s marketing strategy across all channels to drive awareness, engagement and lead generation.
- Provide hands-on leadership to a distributed marketing team, ensuring high standards, alignment and accountability.
- Develop and deliver go-to-market strategies for new products and product updates.
- Create and oversee content, campaigns, email sequences, website updates, social activity, and digital advertising.
Requirements- Proven experience leading a marketing function, ideally within a B2B or technical environment.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving measurable results — not just “being involved”, but clearly explaining what you delivered, how you delivered it, and what impact it had.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build rapport with engineers and commercial staff alike.
- On-site presence required - this role is not suitable for remote working.
What We Offer- Salary of £50k-£75k, depending on experience.
- An influential leadership role within a growing technology business.
- The opportunity to shape the future of the marketing function and deliver meaningful commercial impact.
- A supportive, collaborative environment where marketing plays a critical role in company growth.
