- This is a fantastic opportunity for Quality specialists to join a world leading manufacturing business whose products are seen as the gold standard in their industry. With sites across the world and a recently expanded site in Ely, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring suppliers meet quality, capability and performance targets.
With an emphasis on career progression and start of the art facilities, you’ll be working out of a multistorey site, with an onsite canteen, entertainment spaces and direct train routes.
You will engage and collaborate with supply chain, quality and purchasing departments to eliminate waste and defect prevention, ensuring OTD and continuous improvement. Key to this role will be the technical support you offer to existing and prospective suppliers to make sure they meet key capability and performance targets. You’ll also work with the wider R&D and NPI function to develop supplier audit programmes, often visiting selected suppliers to build relationships.
What are we looking for?- Degree qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an equivalent Supplier Quality Engineering role with understanding of engineering drawings
- Understanding of lean principles( SMED, PFEP, EPEI) and supplier development ( PPAP, FMEA)
- Personality: create relationships, work with different teams, able to multitask, identify problems quickly and receptive to new challenges
