- Description
- Take the next step in your engineering career with a role that offers both technical challenge and meaningful impact. An established engineering organisation is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the development and delivery of advanced mechanical systems.
In this role, you will take responsibility for designing, developing and improving mechanical components and structures, ensuring they meet performance, quality and manufacturing requirements. You will work across multiple projects, producing detailed engineering drawings and documentation, supporting prototype manufacture and testing, and contributing to design reviews and change implementation.
The company designs and manufactures high-tech products used across a wide range of industries. You will need experience working with complex electromechanical systems.
You will play a key role in enhancing existing products while also contributing to new product development, applying a strong understanding of design for manufacture and engineering best practices. The role also involves supporting project planning through estimating costs and timelines, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.
We are looking for a confident and capable engineer with proven experience in mechanical design and product development. You should be comfortable interpreting technical drawings, using design tools and managing your own workload effectively. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels are essential.
An honours degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. You should be self-motivated, adaptable and able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel within the UK may be required.
Requirements:- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline
- At least 2 years’ experience in a mechanical design position
- Experience working in a high-tech engineering environment
