This is an excellent job opportunity to join this very well established, niche market performer. This Sales Engineer job will be very diverse and will enable you to get involved in R+D, sales and embedded electronic design. We are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer who can be a technical expert on my clients embedded product portfolio and be able to assist in developing solution concepts which meet their customer requirements.
Your main duties as Sales Engineer will be as follows:-
- Advising customers throughout the product selection process
- Define customised solutions with the R&D department
- Serve as a technical consultant to potential and existing customers, qualifying requirements and offering guidance as to the best solution
- Create and drive detailed project plans in line with customer expectations, managing risk and dependencies, deliveries and external inputs
The job calls for a rounded set of skills. You should ideally be qualified to Degree level in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. It is essentially a sales orientated role with hands on electronic design skills, so you will need to be an excellent and confident communicator, as you will be dealing with R+D, sales, field service and of course the customer. Previous applications experience in a similar environment would be well received.
