Description
Senior Manufacturing Software Engineer

Cambridge

This role will pay a pivotal role in creating and developing production test solutions for a wide range of optics products and sub-assemblies. The company currently use Labview but they are looking for a Senior Engineer who can come in and implement new ideas for test software which will play a key role on a wide range of NPI projects. This is a great chance for an engineer to take responsibility for requirements capture, design, implementations and quality assurance of test software. Other responsibilities will include:

-          Extending the built in test coverage at all levels.


-          Working closely with NPI and various internal teams in a fast paced development environment.


-          Capturing, analysing and maintaining manufacturing test software requirements.


-          Creating and maintaining manufacturing software documentation.


-          Designing software to meet manufacturing test requirements.


-          Contributing to new product introduction gate reviews.


-          Training new features to manufacturing teams.


-          Contributing to root cause analysis on failures.

For this role you will need:


-          A strong understanding of software version control.


-          Experience with Labview or C software development would be desirable.


-          A senior engineer with the ability to influence and train teams.


-          Capable of applying existing experience at the cutting edge of new technology with the ability to introduce new ideas at all levels.
