Expansion of new projects has led to multiple new C++ Software Engineer positions within the R&D team of a cutting edge engineering company focusing on the design of computer vision products. This innovation award winning company has a new building situated in one of London’s fastest growing areas. With Canary Wharf and the Docklands in their neighbourhood and excellent transport links by road and public transport, it is an ideal location for work and pleasure.
Purpose of the role:
This Software Engineer with C++ is to participate in the research and development of new software applications as well as also liaising with their small team on the embedded Windows platform, both of which further the progression of their range of market-leading computer vision technology.
The role would suit an individual that has demonstrable experience (university or industry) of developing well-structured C++ software. A confident ability coding in C++ is important, and if you have any experience of (ideally a mix of) embedded and object oriented development then it’s definitely worth mentioning. The ideal candidate will thrive in a software engineering role that encompasses much, much more than coding.
Essential skills
C++ (ideally on a Windows platform)
Desirable skills
An interest in Computer Vision, Image Processing or Optics technology
Multi-threaded applications
Object-oriented design experience
TCP/IP and socket-based programming
Basic project experience with embedded software development
Qt 4.x
