Working for an expanding engineering organisation you will take control of the electronics commodity working on defining and executing commodity strategies to support ongoing development needs. The role is more about overall responsibility to manage annual spends and deliver savings and manage internal and external relationships with stakeholders not about managing internal teams. Other responsibilities will include:
- To deliver savings against direct material spend within the electronics commodity.
- Define and manage the electronics commodity strategy ensuring that appropriate supplier panels are in place to support technology requirements for future business.
- Analyse the supply base associated to the electronics commodity and reduce, refine and rationalise on ongoing basis.
For this role you will need:
- Previous experience of working with electronics commodity in a senior role.
- A strong understanding of contracts and managing complex situations and projects.
- The ability to negotiate both at a tactical and strategic level.
