- Description
- We are looking for a Java Software Developer to work on a complex system taking data from hardware in real time, with numerically intensive algorithms running on parallel processors. As well as writing the front end in Java on Windows, the Software Engineers will also be responsible for working on the back end software in C++ on Linux. The hiring Manager is happy to consider those with expertise in either Java or C++ who are willing to pick up the other language. They can also teach you how to work with parallel processors if that isn’t in your current skillset.
Salary: £30-55k

The company are well known for developing their staff and have a program for employees to work towards chartered engineer status.
Java Software Developer essential skills:
- Java or C++
- Linux or Windows expertise
- At least one toolset such as Eclipse, Netbeans or Visual Studio
- Multi-threaded or parallel processing
- Matlab
- Qt
- Agile
