An Assistant Buyer is required to join a hi-tech engineering company to work within a busy purchasing department. You will be responsible for providing the timely and cost effective delivery of materials to the company’s manufacturing team.
As an Assistant Buyer some of your daily tasks may include; placing purchase orders for both materials and services, processing non-conformance reports, receiving and processing all order acknowledgements as well as processing any credit card purchases.
You will also be responsible for building and maintaining supplier relationships to include managing delivery schedules and issuing weekly reports to detail outstanding orders.
Assistant Buyer Requirements:
• A qualification in an engineering/commercial sector or equivalent career experience.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Previous experience working in an engineering/manufacturing/planning environment.
• Previous experience of supplier relationship management.
