An expanding hi-tech engineering organisation with a hugely diverse product range is looking for Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the team at their state of the art facility in Ely.
The position will be working on complex high precision intricate technology where you will be heavily involved in identifying and resolving manufacturing issues. The position will require candidates to implement improvements to production processes and standard operating procedures. This role will also involve leadership of the production engineers.
Some responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer
- Carry out process improvement and problem resolution
- Review manufacturing processes to achieve cost-reductions and quality improvements
- Design and development of improved manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production test equipment.
- Maintaining Bill of Materials in line with manufacturing changes and liaising with engineering as required.
- Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years’ design and quality control experience in product manufacturing.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD systems.
- Ability to identify and resolve design and assembly problems quickly.
- Development and use of characterisation and measurement equipment.
- Knowledge of testing techniques for mechanical/electronics products.
