- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Taking ownership for a range of projects from conceptualisation through to production this role will provide you the opportunity to work for a company who have broken a number of records within their sector and pride themselves on being able to deliver their customers’ requirements far quicker than any of their competitors.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will work to design brand new products using 3D CAD as well as making modifications on existing designs in sheet metal and composite materials ensuring to consider their transfer to manufacture. Other day to day responsibilities will include;
- Conducting FEA to ensure the product will withstand the harsh environments it will be subject to.
- Product detailed drawings and Bills of Materials for each design.
- Product high quality technical documentation.
- Write up of test reports to be presented to the Engineering team.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
- Experience designing components in sheet metal or machined parts.
- Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks ideally)
- Experience in the design of electro-mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of DfM.
