This role will play a vital link in driving forward a new R&D technology platform working at a state-of-the-art facility in East London. The focus of the role will be to work on the design and simulation of shielding for stainless steel and airflow systems.
The product range is complex low volume high value machinery which is used by organisations across the world. This role will sit within the mechanical team but will involve close interaction with cross functional teams of engineers and scientists helping to deliver ground breaking technology.
Some of the main elements of the role include:
- Design, simulation and testing structural stainless steel and airflow systems.
- CFD, structural and thermal simulation on new and existing products.
- Working closely with manufacturing teams on processes for machining, welding and extrusions.
For this role we are looking for:
- A degree in mechanical engineering with a strong background of working on the design and simulation of shielding structures.
- An appreciation of thermal and CFD principles.
