This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join a rapidly expanding, hi-tech engineering organisation who are moving to a brand-new state of the art, purpose-built facility. Your primary responsibility will be to drive improvements in quality by ensuring products are delivered to spec with areas of non-conformance being identified. You will also be involved with final inspection of products before leaving the business where a strong attention for detail will be required and the confidence to flag up anything that may course problems down the line.
They are looking for someone with a multi skilled background with a mix of mechanical and electrical/electronic but if you have a bias, we would still be keen to hear from you. You will ideally have a hands-on background working with a technical product range and have experience using MRP/ERP systems.
There is opportunity for progression in this role and there are many examples in the team that started from this position now in leadership and management roles.
As a Quality Inspector some of your daily responsibilities will include:
- Visual inspection of any component or assembly.
- Feedback any non-conformances to the relevant engineers to ensure there is no repeating issues.
- Updating ERP system with available parts.
- Support the audit process to include maintaining audit records.
- Carry out quality inspection procedures on finished goods as stated in the Final Quality Inspection (FQI) procedure
- Assist in the rectification of quality issues on systems when requested
- Ensure that all equipment is correctly configured for the application as per the specification and the latest software is installed
- Assist the repair department, as and when needed
- Understanding of Quality Systems (ISO 9001)
- Sound understanding of technical manufacturing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
