Working as a Laser Applications Engineer you will play a key role in shaping current and future technologies, for a company who continue to secure new and exciting projects in the laser field. You will work on a diverse range of projects for an expanding team at state-of-the-art facilities in Oxford, helping to find innovative solutions to highly technical customer problems.
The role would be ideal for an engineer/scientist who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where you will be working on a range of projects with customers from a variety of different industries. Although the role is mainly all site based you may be required to occasionally go and meet with customers.
You will be part of a hugely talented team where each member will have a slightly different technical bias with some of the best minds in the laser technology sector. Mixing practical lab based work, materials science, hardware integration, machine control, optics design and software programming you will constantly be learning and picking up new skills.
For this role we are looking for:
A degree in Physics
Ideally some project or course exposure to working with optics or lased based technology.
A practical approach to engineering with the ability to work with cross functional engineers and customers.
