Description
Quality Inspector

This is a key role to support the CMM department within a growing and dynamic high-tech engineering business. It’s a fantastic opportunity to join a company that prides itself on delivering high-quality precision-machined components to a diverse range of industries. With a modern workshop equipped with the latest machine tools, you’ll enjoy a varied workload where no two days are ever the same.

As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be responsible for inspecting precision components to ensure they meet tight tolerances, carrying out both first-off and final inspections. You’ll work with a range of measuring equipment including CMM, micrometers, height gauges, and callipers.

Supporting continuous improvement, you’ll assist with internal and customer NCR processes, investigating root causes to help prevent recurrence. You’ll also maintain calibration of all inspection and test equipment and support internal audits.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need at least two years’ experience in a similar quality inspection position within precision engineering, be proficient in reading technical drawings and have a good understanding of ISO9001. Previous experience operating CMM equipment is required, although additional training on inspection tools can be provided. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

In return, you’ll be offered a competitive salary dependent on experience, working 40 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays. This is an excellent chance to develop your skills and progress your career in a supportive, family-type environment where quality and teamwork are at the centre of everything they do.

This role is looking for:

- Hands-on mechanical experience
- Experience working with CMM
- Great communication skills
