Description

Senior FPGA Engineer - Cutting-Edge DSP Systems

Are you an ambitious, high-flying Senior FPGA Engineer with strong Digital Signal Processing (DSP) expertise, excited by the proposition of joining one of the fastest growing companies in Europe?

This fast-scaling, well-funded organisation is entering a critical stage of growth and looking for a senior-level engineer to architect and develop the real-time FPGA systems powering their first-generation hardware.

They offer exceptional salaries (£70k–£160k) plus equity from 2025, a clear technical progression path, and the chance to define the FPGA and DSP strategy for a truly game-changing technology.

These are office-based roles in Central Cambridge - ideal for someone who wants to make a tangible impact, stay hands-on, and lead complexdesign challenges.

This opportunity is rare and exceptional. Expectations are high — if you’re seeking a standard 9–5 role with minimal challenge, this position is unlikely to be the right fit.
Senior FPGA Engineer Requirements

  • 5+ years commercial FPGA engineering experience (implementation, simulation, verification and test)

  • Strong background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) design and optimisation

  • Excellent academic background with a degree from a top university

  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog or VHDL

  • Proven ability to take technical ownership, collaborate effectively, and deliver complex projects

Position: Senior FPGA Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £80k–£120k + equity
Key Skills: FPGA, DSP, Verilog/VHDL,
