- Description
- GNC Engineer - Guidance
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £65,000 – £130,000 + Equity + Benefits
This role offers the chance to work at the core of guidance and trajectory design for advanced flight vehicles. You’ll help define how platforms plan, manoeuvre, and reach their objectives under tight physical and operational constraints.
You’ll focus on developing guidance strategies that balance optimality, robustness, and real-world limitations. Your work will span early concept studies, high-fidelity simulation, and integration into real-time flight software, with a clear link between your algorithms and real flight behaviour.
Working alongside navigation and control engineers, you’ll contribute to complete GNC solutions and support validation through SIL, HIL, and test campaigns.
Key Requirements
- Strong background in dynamics, guidance & optimal control
- Experience developing guidance algorithms
- Familiarity with 6-DOF simulation environments
- Defence or aerospace experience (beneficial, not essential)
The package includes an excellent salary with wide flexibility based on experience, meaningful equity participation, comprehensive private healthcare, and the opportunity to influence mission-critical flight behaviour in a fast-scaling engineering organisation.
