Brand new software development project with flexible tooling and programming language choice, with a start-up who have developed a revolutionary product to monitor brain activity.  The electronics have been developed, the UI has been wire framed, now they need a Software Engineer to develop the application that generates 3D visualisations and manipulates the vast quantities of spatially registered data in real-time.   This is where you come in.
We are looking for a Software Engineer who has experience developing visualisations or GUIs with the use if APIs such as OpenGL, Direct3D or Vulcan.
An existing, bare bones application (C on Windows) exists but the successful software engineer will write a new, cross platform application using languages and technologies of their choosing from scratch.  It’s highly likely the Software Engineer will have implemented graphical user interfaces or interactive visualisations before, including use of source control and testing frameworks.
Your current skillset may include some of the following – C, C++, QT, Windows, Python, HTML5, JavaScript, CUDA or other HPC, 3D Modelling, OpenGL, Direct3D, Vulcan, mathematical ability.  Someone from the games industry may be very suitable.
The company are happy to consider a Software Engineer at an early stage of their career or a very experienced software engineer.  Walking distance from Euston, Kings Cross etc
Position: Software Engineer
Location: Central London
Salary: £30-52k
Key Skills: C, C++, QT, Windows, Python, HTML5, JavaScript, CUDA or other HPC, 3D Modelling, mathematical ability, OpenGL, Direct3D, Vulcan, Games.
If you don’t fit this requirement exactly but are degree qualified with significant experience in at least one programming language feel free to e-mail a CV as you may be suitable for other positions we are recruiting for.  I specialise in recruiting software engineers for electronics and technology companies throughout the UK.
